Mindfulness and Nature Connection
“Remembering our interdependence”
When was the last time you were able to slow down and feel truly present and connected with a calm mind and relaxed body?
Through a combination of mindfulness, somatic based therapy (Hakomi) and nature connection we can relearn how to regulate our system and find balance in the now. Once our mind/body is able to relax and let down its “protective mode” we are open to a natural organicity of healing. In this often chaotic and fast paced world, we forgot how to slow down in order to remember our bodies innate wisdom. The co-regulation of a safe therapeutic relationship, combined with nature provides the container for deep healing and transformation.
What can you expect from a nature-based session?

“We are drawn to the outdoors because it soothes us, it teaches us, and it helps us feel whole again.”
Nature and Me
Through my experience and connection with nature, I have learned the most valuable lessons about myself and life. From an early age I have been drawn to the “wild” and “untamed” places still left on this earth. Its become clear throughout my life that the more time I spend building “right” relationships with our natural world, the more confidence, acceptance, balance, love, and trust, I grow for myself. We humans are interdependent on nature for survival, and have often forgotten this inseparability.
I feel very grateful to have grown up in Santa Barbara, fostering amazing relationships with its many diverse natural environments. Whether I was 3 years old searching for turtles at AliceKeck park or 34 exploring our beautiful backcountry, nature has always been my place for healing and solace. I have immense love and gratitude for being able to combine my passion for nature with therapy, and can’t wait to share in the experience!
