Guardian of the Self

To be a guardian of yourself, you must be curious. You must be curious enough to believe that something bigger and beyond your wildest imagination is occurring.

To be a guardian of yourself, you must have faith that one day you will trust yourself. This trust will be so deeply rooted, that you will stand in the most intense storms and not budge.

To be a guardian of yourself, you must recognize that you are the mere reflection of all other life, seen and unseen in the universe. Understanding that the elements that make up you, are the same elements that make up the stars.

To be a guardian of yourself, you must realize that for eternity we have stood around the fire,  and for eternity we will continue to stand.

To be a guardian of the self you must recognize that this life is a gift. All gifts are received with gratitude and appreciation.  Everything we receive in this life comes in and as a form of a gift.

To be a guardian of the self, you must learn to understand and be grateful for life. You must learn that from within the many parts, pieces and fragments of reality, we are binded and built into the whole. Nothing in this world is isolated or independent from another, and everything relies on this interdependence.

To be a guardian of the self you must soften and surrender. You must learn to humbly bow to the great mystery. To bow so many times, you must develop a strong yet flexible spine that bends easily but can withstand immense pressure.

To be a guardian of the self, you must learn to accept polarities. You must learn to dance in the flow between them. The light is no better than the dark. When the fear is surrendered, only the lessons are left covered in gold.

To be a guardian of the self, you must lose yourself again and again. To attach, is to endure the pain and suffering of constant change.

To be a guardian of the self, you must learn to unconditionally love another. By recognizing that love is the ultimate goal of life, you get to experience life at its fullest expression.
